DALBOE

Discover A Little Bit Of Everything

An inventory app for iPhone and iPad

Point your phone at something. DALBOE works out what it is, then files it where it actually lives. That can be as simple as "the garage", or as complex as the left section of the fourth drawer down of the toolbox in the garage.

Most inventory apps give you a flat list and a text box. If you want to get serious about your inventory, use DALBOE's interactive map to build almost any storage space you want. DALBOE is built around the two questions that are sometimes hard: what is this, and where did I put it.

What it does

On keeping it, or not

An inventory is worth building only if it survives. Rebuilding a house's worth of items and a location structure from scratch, because a phone went in a lake, is a terrible thing to ask of anyone, so DALBOE can hold it for you. It is also a list of what you own and where you keep it, which is not a thing to hand over without being asked. So you are asked, plainly, and both answers are real:

Keep it on this device
Nothing is uploaded. No account, no server, no copy anywhere but the phone in your hand, including no backup. If the device is lost, broken or wiped, the inventory is gone with it. Moving to a new phone is a direct transfer you run yourself, device to device.
Sync it to your account
Your inventory, locations and photos are held for you, so they are there on your phone, your tablet, your computer, or any device you sign in from. Encrypted before it leaves your device, and you choose whether DALBOE is able to unlock it for you or whether you alone hold the key.

What does not change either way: nothing is sold, nothing is shared with data brokers, there is no advertising and no analytics SDK. And sending a floor plan or an address to an AI service to be read stays a separate decision you make one plan at a time. Storing something in your account has never been the same as handing it to a third party.

DALBOE is in development. It is being built by one person and is not on the App Store or Play Store yet. There is no mailing list and nothing to sign up for at this time.
